This project is very close to me as this was one of the first few projects for my company.
Due to the COVID pandemic, my client wanted to give her husband a nicely renovated home office, as he was extensively spending a lot of his time working from his Berwyn home.
She had a small, attached room from her master bedroom which was used as a home office. After our first meeting it was clear that the room needed an upgrade. We went over a few ideas for the design and color scheme for the room and decided that for maximum space utilization, we need to give our client a wall-to-wall desk with drawers and cabinets on the either side for extra storage, add recess lights to brighten up the space and replace window treatment for the window. We also agreed to change the wall paint, from dark red walls to a neutral soft white to make the space feel warm and inviting while keeping the golden wallpaper intact. Last by not the least we decided to install a paneled barn door in between the open space of rooms, to give some privacy to the home office. This project took just under 3 months to finish, which was well under schedule, keeping in mind all the delays that we were facing during the pandemic.
At the end, the space turned out to be extremely beautiful, warm, and welcoming. The client was so happy that she could give her husband something that he could enjoy while working long hours and feel relaxed at the same time.
